I still remember the early days of the Internet (this was in the mid-90s), because there wasn’t all that much to be found on the web at that time (do you remember the Altavista days?). However, if we fast forward to the current date, now there are millions and millions of websites.
That’s great for most part, as you get a lot to choice from. However, it also makes it rather hard to find those smaller websites that stands out from the crowd, and a perfect example of such a site would be Woodstock production (the Woodstock website has been around since 2012), which would be a site that aims to please both gamers and game developers alike. So what exactly is it that Woodstock does then? Well, this brief introduction should give you a rather good idea what Woodstock is all about, and what they got to offer:
“Woodstock Production has been helping people get the most out of their gaming experience since 2012. We both create affordable and exciting Windows PC game products(for Windows 64 bit operation system computers) as well as teach people how to make their own dynamic games via our easy-to-understand(and free) video tutorials.
If you’ve ever wanted to be able to create your own games, using your own characters, settings, and story lines, we can help you learn everything you need to know to get started, including how to use python programming language. We enjoy creating games and we think you will too.“
In other words, you could read about games, video game development and much more via Woodstock’s homepage. So there should be something there for everyone to enjoy. In the matter of fact, there’s even a forum to be found on the site (indie game developers can even show off their creations in that very forum!).
There’s even a page that shows the benefits of playing video games (isn’t nice to read something positive about Gaming and video games for once?). On a personal level, video games has brought a lot of joy and happiness to my life over the years.
So I’m really happy to see that sites like Woodstock is spreading some positive vibes about video games, because as you might already know. Gaming, gamers and games have been under fire for many years now. That’s also why I think that more people should look into the positive aspects of Gaming, and not just the negative ones that the main-stream media lists over and over again.
Because let’s be honest here, Gaming offers more pros than cons, and that includes everything from helping kids to battle cancer, helping burn victims to recover faster to simply brining a lot of joy to those who need it the most. Then you got people like me, that just needs to relax and get rid of some stress (“Brutal Doom” has probably helped me with my stress levels more than any other game title).
So if you like the sound of that, then give the Woodstock site a look and see =) I would also like to point out the indie game developers could buy PR-services for their title (s) via Woodstock as well.
