My relationship with Team Ninja’s sexy fighting series “Dead Or Alive” is somewhat of an odd one. You see, the first game that I ever played was “Dead or Alive 2” for the Dreamcast (believe it or not, but I used to play “DOA 2” during breaks at my old college), and from “DOA2” I went straight to “DOA4” for the Xbox 360 (“Dead or Alive 5” is still my favourite game in the series so far though, for more than one reason *cough cough*). So, yeah, I haven’t exactly played through the “DOA” series in a chronological order (the biggest reason behind that would be the fact that I have mainly played on Sony’s consoles). Anyways, when I originally come in contact with the “Dear or Alive” series. I simply couldn’t help myself from favoring Kasumi over the other available fighters in the game (in my case, “DOA2”).
To be fair though, who could blame me? Because Kasumi is sexy and deadly as hell! And I would be lying through my teeth if I said that the young teen me didn’t have a huge girl crush on Kasumi (me and everyone else in the world, male as female). In all honesty though, even though I’m “somewhat” older now. I still like Kasumi to this very day (“Dead or Alive 5” and “Dead or Alive Xtreme 3” all the way baby!). That’s also why I really enjoy when female cosplayers put a lot of heart and soul into becoming the real-life version of Kasumi :3 And speaking of which, just a couple of hours ago I spotted a truly talented cosplayer named Lara Lunardi.
So who exactly is Lunardi then? Well, she’s a multi-talented person that works with everything from game developing, animation, cosplay to video making. In the matter of fact, I find Lunardi to be one of THE coolest cosplayers that I’ve ever heard of (I watched some of her videos tonight, and she’s freaking awesome!).
“I’m a dinosaur and I work with visual design for the game and film industry! Other than that, I cosplay, make funny videos and do appearances at pop culture conventions.” – Lara Lunardi
Well, I think you get the point. So let’s get down to the part about Lunardi’s Kasumi cosplay shall we? 😉 As I was saying earlier. I spotted Lunardi’s Kasumi cosplay by pure luck, because I found one of her videos while watching some random “Dead or Alive” videos on Youtube. So without further ado, please enjoy Lunardi’s super awesome cosplay of Kasumi =) (a footnote, all but the last two pictures are brand-new).
And just for the record, don’t make the mistake and think that Lunardi is just a one-hit wonder when it comes to cosplay, because she has done plenty of other cosplays besides her Kasumi cosplay. Yes, that’s right, and that would include everything from Sniper Wolf (“Metal Gear Solid“), 2B (“Nier: Automata“), Cammy (“Street Fighter V“), Zarya (“Overwatch“) to Major Kusanagi (“Ghost in the Shell“). So “if” you like what you’ve seen from Lunardi’s cosplay of Kasumi, then you most definitely don’t want to miss out on her other cosplays (you can trust me on that one).
And with that said, what do you think about Lunardi’s Kasumi cosplay? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
