This is probably going to be a “bit” controversial. But many, many months ago i wrote about NCsoft and Team Bloodlust´s action/Mmorpg game “Blade and Soul” (PC).
Well, today i thought that i would do a little recheck of the game.
Just to see how Blade and Soul has evolved over time. Because South Korea has been able to play the game since 2012, Chine by the end of last year.
And the Japanese release toke place in May this year. So, how does Blade and Soul look and feel today?
I can’t talk about the actual gameplay, because i haven’t played it yet (the EU release haven’t even been nailed down yet).
But i have seen the game in action (gameplay videos, trailers and so on). Graphic wise Blade and Soul looks freaking awesome.
And the art style are really stunning. I like the music (most of the music are of oriental origin), because most of the tracks are very powerful and beautiful. So what´s the downsides and the controversial parts of Blade and Soul then?
It depends on who you ask. Because the only downside that i can mention about Blade and Soul at this time, would be the way the female characters are portrayed in the game (something tells me that the Blade and Soul anime is even worse).
The whole “big” boobs, porn poses, half-naked thing. I should also mention that there´s a big “lolli” fever going on in Blade and Soul as well.
So no, Blade and Soul won´t be everybody’s cup of tea (not by far). But i´m going to give the game an honest chance once it get´s released in Europe.
Because one should not forget all the controversy with Vanillaware´s action/RPG game “Dragon’s Crown” (PS3). Yes, i know.
The female anatomy was ridiculously out of proportions (but then again, so was the males anatomy). But even so, Dragon´s Crown are still a great game.
So that´s why i´m going to give Blade and Soul a go as well. And “hopefully“, it´s at least a good game. Otherwise it´s just yet another fap fap mmorpg.
