There´s a lot of doubters, haters and rants about Nintendos Wii U game “Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker” (which is set for a release on the 2th of January next year). Most of the negative vibes comes from that hardcore Super Mario fans though. They just can´t accept the fact that there´s no Super Mario in Captain Toad.
They just refuse to see past that part, and see Captain Toad for what it is. And that´s really sad i think. Because the game looks pretty promising.
This whole thing actually made me think about that one time when Daxter (from Jak and Daxter) stared in his very own video game (it was called “Daxter”).
And that game turned out really well. I´m just trying to say that Captain Toad doesn’t necessarily need to become a shitty game. Captain Toad might actually turn out just fine. Besides, there´s a lot of talented people working on Captain Toad.
People such as Yoshiaki Koizumi. Which just happens to have worked on titles such as:
– The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
– Super Mario Galaxy 1, 2
– Super Smash Bros. Brawl
– Super Mario 64
– And many, many other famous Nintendo games
So don´t turn down Captain Toad just yet. I also think that it´s the kind of game that needs time to get accepted by the players (especially the Super Mario fans).
But what do you guys think about Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker so far?
