It´s been a while since i watched any video game related documentary. Simply because i got fed up with how bad most of them turned out to be.
So i am somewhat sceptical about Jonathan Beales COD documentary “CODumentary“.
But hey, Jonathan has 25 years experience in video games media. So what could possible go wrong? Me, i´m not a huge fan of COD. So i´m going to let you guys judge if CODumentary rocks or not. You will find the very first trailer for CODumentary down below.
Oh, another thing. CODumentary is set for a worldwide release sometime this month!
About CODumentary:
Fizz Films announces CODumentary,a new 90 minute feature-length documentary based around the global blockbuster video game Call of Duty.
CODumentary has been in development over the past five years and looks back at how Call of Duty came from nowhere to become one of the most important video games of the last two decades.
Shot in a variety of locations across the world,CODumentary begins with the early World War 2 titles and tracks the progress & evolution into Modern Warfare & Black Ops.The timeline shows how a powerfully cinematic PC action game became one of the biggest global names and recognised brands in video games across a portfolio of formats.
Developers, publishers, video game stores, journalists, professional eSports personnel & a host of people connected to the game describe the story of how Activision managed, built and maintained Call Of Duty’s place at the top table of worldwide video games.
How the game fought and won the war against it’s fiercest rivals, how legal battles were fought and settled and how the game’s popularity exploded onto the scene amongst professional eSports players & teams.
“CODumentary has been made for COD & gaming fans everywhere in the world.I just felt it was important to make a film about such a great game and how it’s just got bigger and stronger. There is also a strong moral side to the narrative and we portray the whole picture from the early days right up to 2014 “,says Jonathan Beales,Producer of CODumentary.
“It’s a 90 minute film which has high quality, blend and balance with some familiar names & a few surprises too!”
The film will be produced with sub-titles and voice-over in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Portuguese, Hebrew and Polish.Worldwide release December 2014.
CODumentary is a fully independent production & is not endorsed or sponsored by Activision Inc or any of it’s subsidaries or affiliates.
