I just knew that there would be a backlash to Nintendo´s creators program. So i was on the right track when i wrote an article called “Nintendo creators program – Youtube and ad-revenues” back in January.
Because Nintendo has made quite a few changes to their creators program since then (Nintendo´s “Youtube partner program). For starter, they have removed “Super Smash Bro´s”, “Pokémon” and “Bayonetta” from their Youtube partner program.
So that means that all those games has been banned from the ad-revenue sharing program. In other words, you won´t get a single cent from your Youtube videos (if you record any of those games).
And that´s not even the worst part either. No, the worst part would be the fact that the Nintendo creators program rewards those who give positive coverage on Nintendos products and services.
So to be honest, i´m just glad that we didn´t sign up for the Nintendo creators program. Because i have a feeling that it´s going to get much worse over time. As it seems like Nintendo is trying to cover their stagnant sales with Youtube money…
