I have some very mixed emotions about this. Because i still remember how excited i was over “Sonic X-Treme” (for SEGA´s Saturn) back in the 90s. But SEGA cancelled “Sonic X-Treme” in 1997.
And that was the end of it, so i thought. But somewhat 18 years later, a group of dedicated hardcore Sonic fans has brought “Sonic X-Treme” back from the dead.
In fact, the game has been ported to PC (modern Windows + OpenGL). However, there is just ONE playable level at this moment. The dev team plans to add more levels on the fly though.
All of this become publicly known thanks to the Sonic Retro forum. So tons of respect to those guys and girls.
