Back in November last year i wrote about a really interesting video game documentary called “World 1-1“. And, well, one of the creators of World 1-1 contacted us just recently and asked us if we were interested in reviewing the movie.
I said yes of course. Not only because i´m a big fan of Atari (which would be the main attraction of “World 1-1”), but also because i´m curious to see how good (bad) “World 1-1” is.
“World 1-1” has had a really good start so far though. It reach it´s Kickstarter goal last year ($15,000), and it seems like Joe Decuir (the co-creator of Atari 2600) liked the CES 2015 trailer for “World 1-1”.
So i´m really eager to watch the full movie of “World 1-1”. And yes, we will of course review it for you guys 😉
“Who else has seen our trailer at #CES2015? We just got word from #JoeDecuir co-creator of the #Atari2600 that he spotted the trailer at the convention! Thanks to those that made it happen and we hope many others got a glimpse of our trailer at CES! This awesome news! #CES” – The World 1-1 team
About World 1-1:
World 1-1 is an independent documentary on the early history of video games. The personalities of the pioneers, the creations of the engineers, and the challenges, technology and business deals. See the games and hear the stories from the creators themselves.
This is the story of how Atari helped create the games industry years before it should have happened. World 1-1 follows the lucky deals and unfortunate mistakes that almost destroyed the entire industry just as quickly as it was born. Our film captures this history through our cast: Nolan Bushnell, Al Alcorn, Dona Bailey, Warren Robinett, David Crane, Howard Scott Warshaw, Owen Rubin, Joe Decuir, Franz Lanzinger, Steve Mayer and others.
