If you ask me the question “Which fighting series do you love the most?”. Then i would answer something like “I can´t pick just one series. But it would stand between either Tekken, Virtua Fighter or Street Fighter”.
But if i could just pick ONE series, then it would be Tekken for sure. I´ve been a fan ever since Namco released the first title to PS1 back in 1995 (EU in my case).
But a lot has changed since 1995. For starter, there´s quite a few fighting series out there that fights for the nr 1 spot, as the king of fighting games (Tekken, Street Figher, DOA, Virtua Fighter, Mortal Kombat and so on).
But to be honest, when it comes to Tekken. It´s been a while since i feelt any excitement over a new Tekken title
Tekken 7 however, seems to be a mix of Tekken 6 (the best parts), Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and some new stuff. And by new stuff, i mean 2 new fighters for example. And speaking of which.
The new fighters would be “Katarina” (a latin women that uses the martial artstyle “Savate”), and “Claudio” (a Italian guy that has some kind of super powers).
Namco Bandai showcased them both in their new Tekken 7 trailer (which they released yesterday).
And, well.I’m not a big fan of snobs, so i don´t know what to feel about Claudio. And Katarina, ehrm, she´s pretty much the same kind of character as “Christie Monteiro“. But even slutier imo.
That won´t be a problem if you can change the cloths on your characters in Tekken 7 however. But besides that, i´m pretty hypéd over Tekken 7.
It will take a while before i get the chance to play it though. Because at this moment, just Japanese Arcade testers got access to Tekken 7.
The wide release of Tekken 7 (the Arcade version) is however nailed down to a February release next year in Japan. So it doesn´t sound to far-fetched that we might see Tekken 7 to PS4 and Xbox One sometime next year (or early 2016).
So, are you guys excited about Tekken 7?
