***UPDATE***
ABZÛ will be released to PC as well.
I don´t know if you guys missed out on Giant Squid´s ocean adventure game “ABZÛ” at E3. But i sure didn´t. But then again, i like games such as “Ecco the Dolphin” and “Endless Ocean”.
Because i find those kind of games to be very relaxing and magical (the oceans are very magical and beautiful imo).
And ABZÛ (which are in development for PS4 and PC) seems to have quite a lot of potential. One thing´s for sure though. It´s a very creative and beautiful game. So i really hope that ABZÛ (AB = “Ocean”, ZU = “To know”) will make it´s way to PC as well.
If not, then i guess that i´ll just have to buy a PS4 (i planned to do so anyways).
About ABZÛ:
“We are very excited to give you an early glimpse of ABZÛ, Giant Squid’s first project. http://abzugame.com. ABZÛ will take players on an epic adventure into the depths of the ocean, where they will encounter majestic creatures and discover long lost secrets. The game draws inspiration from a deep, innate story that we all carry in our collective subconscious, a universal origin myth that resonates across cultures. As such, the name ABZÛ references a concept from the oldest Mesopotamian mythology: it is the combination of two ancient words Ab, meaning ocean, and Zû, meaning to know. Essentially, ABZÛ is the ocean of wisdom.
ABZÛ is being developed by Giant Squid, is a recently formed independent video game studio based in Santa Monica, CA. The team is led by the vision of multi-award winning Creative Director Matt Nava. Known for his stunning work as the Art Director at thatgamecompany, Nava was a core contributor to the beautiful and internationally acclaimed titles Flower and Journey.
Flower was one of the first video games to be officially added to the permanent art collection of The Smithsonian American Art Museum, an event that helped cement the medium of games as an art form in the public consciousness. Winner of more than 33 Game of the Year and multiple Best Art Direction Awards, Journey is a testament to Nava’s ability to communicate deeply moving narrative through visual and interactive design. Nava has also been twice included on the prestigious Forbes “30 Under 30″ list of top young game industry talent.”
