It seems like RGBirdGames (a London-based indie studio) got something really nice and interesting in the making with their upcoming open-world (16sq Km in total) action/horror game “Mute” (it´s set for a Q4 release for Windows, MAC and Linux).
Just the plot and setting alone makes me really interested in “Mute” (there´s a indian theme to “Mute” as well). As the game takes place between the 1880s and 1970s, and you (the player) is looking for your lost brother in the wilderness.
Sure, it´s a fictional location (which you can explore with 5 different characters). but the environment made me think about the grand canyon area in North America (and the wild life for that matter).
But it remains to be seen if “Mute” is impressive enough to get greenlit on Steam Greenlight. But i have a feeling that the game will do just fine on Steam Greenlight, so i sure hope that my guts feeling ain’t wrong!
About Mute;
Mute is a mystery game about Love, Brotherhood and Tragedy, where you have to explore an open world wilderness in search of your missing brother.
You start the game playing as Jeff, on his journey to find the whereabouts of his missing brother, Steve, who went hiking on a canyon and disappeared.
The story leads you to play the game as five different characters and over a span of 100 years. It is up to you to put the pieces together and find out why he is missing.
