I don’t know if you guys and girls are familiar with Markiplier or Jacksepticeye’s videos on Youtube, but not too long ago they made a video each for IndieGala’s frantic multiplayer PC game “Stayin’ Alive” (the videos in question would be”GET BUSY GLITCHING or GET BUSY DYIN” and “IS THIS ALLOWED??“). Well, I enjoyed those videos a whole lot. So I’ve been having my eyes on “Stayin’ Alive” for quite some time now. That’s also why got quite surprised when IndieGala’s PR-folks informed us that the game is coming to Steam on the 20th of December (we received that information less than one hour ago):
“Hello Robin,
I want to introduce Stayin’ Alive, the first-person multiplayer game about wheelchair-bound retirees who want to commit suicide and nurses who try to avoid it. The game will be released on Steam on December 20th. Choose your side –patients or nurses– and compete in teams to see whether the will of dying is stronger than the efforts made to preserve live.
As a retiree, you will need to craft lethal weapons of self-destruction out of ordinary items and find a suitable place to commit suicide –there are up to 6 different ways to die! On the contrary, nurses must find the correct life-saving tool for any situation and use it on whoever is dying. Sedate and confine retirees in rooms to prevent them from committing suicide. Online multiplayer matches can be played by 8 players at a time in teams of 4v4. Cooperation between team members is very important to earn as many points as possible. The game includes bots too so you can compete against non-human rivals too.
Some big youtubers have made videos about it already (jacksepticeye: https://youtu.be/AIfzB9SAyK0; Markiplier: https://youtu.be/Hc7ah1ghnEM). The version we shared with them was far from being complete at that time, but now the game is almost ready to be published. Please let me know if you want a keycode of the game.” – IndieGala PR-person
So far so good, but what about features then? Well, these are the said launch features for “Stayin’ Alive” :
Features:
– Online Multiplayer matches for up to 8 players (4 vs. 4)
– Save your enemies as a nurse. How good are you at keeping others safe?
– Kill yourself as a retiree. How fast can you die?
– Craft your tools of death. Razors made out of toothbrushes. Auto-combustion kit made from Zippos. Creativity is the key.
– 6 ways to die. Each one with its corresponding life-saver tool. Die like you always wanted to IRL (!?).
– Sedate and confine retirees. No real senior citizens were harmed in the making of this game.
– Cooperation is the key. Help your friends die, or save everyone.
And with that said, are you guys and girls excited for Stayin’ Alive’s Steam launch? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
