I´m not sure if I´ve mentioned it in any of my previous posts, but I have been a fan of the Cyberpunk genre for a very long time. In the matter of fact, I pretty much grew up with Cyberpunk movies such as Blade Runner, animes like “Armitage III”, “Cyber City Oedo 808”, “Ghost in the shell” and games like “System Shock”, “Syndicate”, “Shadowrun” and “Deus Ex”. Even so. I have never EVER played a game that mixes bartending with action and Cyberpunk. Well, that´s exactly what Sukeban Games have done with their Cyberpunk bartender action game “VA-11 Hall-A” (aka “Waifu Bartending”).
A game which just happens to have received a lot of positive user reviews on Steam, and have an average grade of 77.54% via gamerankings.com. That´s really good news for Sukeban Games with no doubt. However, it appears as if a lot of people have never heard about “VA-11 Hall-A” before. So I just thought that I could do my very best to get the word out about the game, because I have a feeling that quite a few of our readers would love to give “VA-11 Hall-A ” a go (perhaps I could sort a giveaway for the game?).
I mean, when was the last time that you played a game like this:
“VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action is a booze em’ up about waifus, technology, and post-dystopia life. In this world, corporations reign supreme, all human life is infected with nanomachines designed to oppress them, and the terrifying White Knights ensure that everyone obeys the laws. But, this is not about those people. You are a bartender at VA-11 HALL-A, affectionately nicknamed “Valhalla.” Although it is just a small bar downtown, it attracts the most fascinating people this side of dystopia. Keep your clients lubricated and you will be made privy to the most interesting stories”.
Features:
– Learn about daily life in a cyberpunk dystopia.
– A branching storyline where your decisions do not depend on traditional choices, but through the drinks you prepare.
– Visuals inspired by old japanese adventure games for the PC-98, with a modern touch for an other-wordly experience.
– A beatiful soundtrack composed entirely by Garoad.
– Get to know your clients, their tastes, and prepare the drink that will change their lives.
Furthermore, by the looks of it, Sukeban Games appears to update “VA-11 Hall-A” rather frequently (the last updated added trading cards to the game). So Sukeban will most likely add more features to the game in the future, and who knows. There might even be a new game in the works? Well, time will tell. As for here and now though, I have played “VA-11 Hall-A” on my friend’s laptop for quite sometime now. So I hope to get a chance to review the game as soon as possible (I will either buy the game or ask for a review code, as I would like to play “VA-11 Hall-A” more often then I do now).
Nevertheless, if you´re still not sure if VA-11 Hall-A is your cup of tea or not. Then you could always check out the trailer down below, watch some gameplay videos on Youtube, or read through some of the reviews that have already been done for the game.
