I don’t think I mentioned it, but during Christmas last year, I spent quite a lot of time playing Super Hippo’s fantasy RTS/JRPG/adventure browser game “Crystal Maidens“. Well, I enjoyed the game so much so that I actually ended up reviewing “Crystal Maidens” for Nutaku (the review was published on the 21st of December, and I’m going to post our own review of the game on TGG as soon as possible). That’s also why I got truly excited when I found out that Super Hippo launched a “behind the scenes” video for “Crystal Maidens” (you can watch the video further down the page).
You see, in that video we get to see how “Crystal Maidens” came to be (the development process, what inspired the game, the art process and so on), and right off the bat. I for one had no idea (whatsoever) that “Crystal Maidens” were inspired by “Clash of Clans“, anime and Western comic book art. Nor did I know that “Crystal Maidens” were in development before “Clash Royale” even hit the market (quite a few people seem to think that “Crystal Maidens” were inspired by “Clash Royale”, but apparently that is false). Well, now I know better 😉
Other than that, I was also informed by Nutaku that I will get a chance to do an interview with Super Hippo about “Crystal Maiden”. So “if” there is anything that you would like me/us to ask Super Hippo during that said interview, then feel free to drop a comment with your question in the comment section down below!
