The lewd gods are smiling up on us again, because Top Hat Studios, Inc. just informed us that they have launched their lewd visual novel/RPG hybrid “Karmasutra” (the game is said to be Inspired Eastern mythology and by games such as “Dark Souls”, “Earthbound” and “Dungeons and Dragons”) on Steam:
“Karmasutra recently launched on Steam on September 29th, 2017, after a successful run on adult games storefront Nutaku (http://nutaku.net). The game is an RPG/Visual Novel hybrid that heavily draws inspiration gameplay-wise from Dungeons & Dragons, and story-wise eastern religious literature, such as Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. The game’s story follows a nameless protagonist – a “Wanderer” – who awakens in the afterlife, quickly tasked with the quest to overcome challenges called “pillars” to attain Nirvana. However, he finds that the call of Nirvana is not absolute, and he may betray his nature to walk down a more sinful path. By exploring the world he meets many other wanderers and inhabitants of the strange world called Tattva, and builds his own Karma to face the Gods.
The game is now live on Steam and has launched along a free uncensor patch. Censored content is currently “mosaic’d” in-game for the ripped clothes and naked variations of sprites and CGs. A free 1.4 Update Patch is also scheduled for later this fall, which will act as a free DLC. This patch will feature new scenes, quests, and NPCs.” – Top Hat Studios, Inc.
In other words, that’s great news for those who love lewd RPG/visual novel games. However, there is more good news to be told. You see, “Karmasutra” was launched with an uncensor patch, and there will be a free 1.4 patch later this fall as well =) So, with that said, what exactly is “Karmasutra” all about then? Well, this is the actual background story for the game:
“As our protagonist awakes in this strange land, he’s quickly introduced to concept of Samsara; the journey across Tattva that all “Wanderers” must undergo to cleanse themselves of sin. Confused by this sudden pitch, our Wanderer also learns that this so-called “call of Nirvana” is not absolute; in fact, there are some Wanderers that choose to ignore the call in exchange for the infinitel pleasures – and dangers – that this mysterious afterlife seems to offer.
In this foreign realm however, Wanderers are not the only residents. From the sacred gurus who guide Wanderers and the demonic Asurian tricksters to the monstrous manifestations of sin and the Gods themselves, Tattva is never truly what it seems. But in this mysterious world, where both the path of Sin and the path Merit seem to lead to their own rewards and consequences, which path is truly correct? And more importantly, which path will you, the Wanderer, choose?”
As for features, these are the said launch features for “Karmasutra”:
-25+ Explorable Locations
-13 Unique NPCs, all with branching interactions, quests, and endings
-Gameplay inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, along with Visual Novel-style interactions
-Turn Based Combat alongside a unique feature to Converse & Barter with enemies
-A karma system and a world that reacts to your karma, increasing the value of exploration and interaction with the world & NPCs
-20+ Sexy Scenes
So there you have it folks, and “if” you’re not quite sure whether or not “Karmasutra” is your kind of game, then I would recommend you to watch the official trailer down below!
