To be honest. I never really saw this one coming. Because i can´t really say that i thought that i would ever live to see  Dave Morris (a famous author) write a script for a mobile game with a Mayan theme to it.

But that´s exactly the case, because Morris has been working with “Necklace of Skulls” (for iOS and Android) together with Cubus Games (a Spanish indie studio).

Dave Morris (author of the “Fabled Lands” and “Virtual Reality”) has written the script for Necklace of skulls.

So what is “Necklace of Skulls” all about then? Well, it´s an interactive Mayan fantasy adventure game book, to be exact. And by the looks of it, a really good one too! At least i love the design, art style and graphics of  “Necklace of Skulls”. And i just happen to like the history and the culture of Maya (same thing goes for Inca and the Aztec). Anyhow, the game is set for a release to iOS and Android on November 13th.

So keep an eye out for it!

The story:
The sole survivor of an expedition brings news of disaster. The player’s twin sibling is lost in the trackless Western Sierra. Determined to find out what happened, the protagonist leaves the safety of home to embark on a quest through lost jungle cities, mountains and seas – even the depths of the underworld.

If players are brave enough to survive the dangers of the spirit-haunted Western Desert, they must still confront the wizard, Necklace of Skulls, in a fight to the death . . . and for their very own souls.

Key features:
* Play as a warrior, huntress, wayfarer or sorceress.
* Multiple save slots: Play with different characters in up to three stories at once.
* Innovative combat system never before seen in a digital game book.
* Animated illustrations depicting scenes from the story.
* Rich, branching narrative that offers huge replay value.
* No dice: All the action is based on your skills and decisions.
* Full soundtrack and sound effects deliver a vibrant atmosphere.

Pricing:
Necklace of Skulls will retail for $2.99.
