There´s not that many card games that can take on “Magic the Gathering“, that´s for sure. But there has been quite a few devs that has tried to top Magic, very few has been successful in the process though.
Art Castle and Play Asia however, they might have created a card game that could change all that. Because their fast-paced real-time card game “Trouble With Robots“, has even been praised by well-known game designer´s such as Richard Garfield (Magic: The Gathering, King Of Tokyo).
In fact, this is what Garfield had to say about “Trouble With Robots”:
“It is terrific to be able to play Trouble With Robots again – it is overdue for iOS. It surprised me that it still feels unlike anything else I have played, I would have expected some other game developers to use this obviously good game formula to make a bunch of exciting new games. I hope that it gets the success and attention it deserves – and inspires the new games which >I< deserve!” – Richard Garfield, Game Designer
So if you like the sound of that. Then you can play the very first episode of “Trouble With Robots” for free to iOS and Android (EP 1 and 2 costs $2,99 each).
And one more thing, “Trouble With Robots” has ZERO annoying in-app purchases. And you don´t have to trade your money for magic boosts either.
With that said, game on people!
