I was just about to go to bed (it’s about 02:45 in the morning at the time of writing), but then I found out about a really awesome chiptune/synthesized heavy metal artist called “Master Boot Record“. You see, I simply couldn’t go to sleep before I have informed the world about this awesome person 😉 Anyways, “Master Boot Record” have made some really awesome covers of games such as “Doom“, “Castlevania”, “Syndicate“, “X-Com”, “Duke Nukem 3D“, “System Shock” with many more (I think that there’s something for everyone really).
“I am a 486DX-33MHz-64MB processing avant-garde chiptune, synthesized heavy metal & classical symphonic music. 100% Synthesized, 100% Dehumanized.” – Master Boot Record
That’s just the half of it though, because I would also like to point out that Master Boot Record has released seven albums as well. In other words, if you like the idea of listening to old retro game tracks that’s been mixed chiptune and synthesized heavy metal, then you’re most likely going to love what MBR has to offer (on a personal level, I thought of retro games meets Slayer, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry and Megadeth when I heard MBR for the first time).
And with that said, what’s your take on Master Boot Record’s music? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
