***Update 1 – 2017-04-23-00:52 CEST***
I have just been told that the “harassment” part of “Puyo Puyo Tetris” is a game feature that allows you to dump stuff on the other player’s screen. So “hopefully” that’s all there is to this matter (no Treehouse SJW madness and so on).

I know that I am “bit” late to the party so to speak, but I didn’t hear about the “Puyo Puyo Tetris” “Harassment Tutorial” incident until now. Nevertheless, I’m going to give my thoughts on the matter here and now. So right off the bat, from what I can tell it appears as if Nintendo Treehouse is handling the US localization of “Puyo Puyo Tetris” for the Nintendo Switch (Treehouse seems to handle most of the US localizations for Nintendo). Yes, I know what some of you might think right now “So what?”. Well, if you’re not familiar with Treehouse past localization achievements. Then I would recommend you to read our following articles about Treehouse:
A broken trust, a personal take on the terrible Western localization
Did Treehouse butcher “Fire Emblem: Fates” with their SJW nonsense?
Treehouse´s Nich Maragos tells people not to buy any “Senran Kagura” titles?
As for those who already know about Treehouse’s past, let’s get down to business shall we?
Well, on the 12th of April, SEGA uploaded their “Puyo Puyo Tetris: Harassment Tutorial video” on Youtube, and in that video you could spot the words “Harassment Tutorial”. So if you put that together with the fact that it appears as if Treehouse is handling the Switch localization of “Puyo Puyo Tetris” in the US (I think the PS4 version is handled by someone else, so it should be alright). Then you can’t help to wonder if the game will get the same Treehouse TLC (tender love and care) transformation that they gave “Fire Emblem: Fates“? Time will tell, but we will know for sure once the game launches on the 25th of April in America. I mean, sure, it might not be anything, but it could also be everything…And by the looks of it, I’m not the only Gamer who are concerned:
Funny enough though, I could not see the Nintendo Treehouse logo (or name) anywhere in any of the “Puyo Puyo Tetris” videos (nor on the game’s official homepage). So it’s almost like Nintendo is trying to hide that Treehouse has any involvement at all with the Switch version of “Puyo Puyo Tetris” (perhaps that’s Nintendo’s solution to Treehouse’s bad reputation? They simply hide their name from all the games that they are involved with?). Personally, I can’t draw any other conclusion, because why else wouldn’t Treehouse’s name (or logo) be there? I mean, other localization studios/publishers write their name out for the whole world to see (like Atlus for example, who did a rather good job with their localization of “Persona 5”).
On a personal level though, I truly hope that”Puyo Puyo Tetris” won’t be all messed up on launch (as in “shoehorned in SJW agendas” and whatnot). Because I got a long history with the “Puyo Puyo” series (I’ve been a fan since the Mega Drive and SNES days). I guess that my second hope could be the PS4 release of “Puyo Puyo Tetris” (the US version drops on the 25th of April), as I highly doubt that Treehouse would have had any involvement at all with that game.
And with that said, what’s your take on this matter? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
