The UN has always been a big joke

The UN´s hypocrisy level just went through the roof with their latest outburst. You know, the one where they talked about the possibility of banning Japanese games and cartoons that contains sexual violence against women? (the UN published that report on the 10th of February). Well, if you haven´t read the UN´s latest nonsense statement yet. Then here are the most vital parts of that report:

“GENEVA (10 February 2016) – Japan’s record on women’s rights will be examined by the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) on 16 February. Japan has ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and so is reviewed regularly by the Committee on how it is implementing the Convention.

Among the possible issues for discussion between CEDAW and a delegation from the Japanese Government are: Banning the sale of video games or cartoons involving sexual violence against women; employment equality, illegal dismissal of women due to pregnancy and childbirth; sexual harassment in the workplace; reintegration into school textbooks of issue of “comfort women”; compensation for women with disabilities sterilised against their will; effect on women, particularly pregnant women, of health programmes introduced after the Fukushima nuclear disaster; difference in pension benefits for men and women, poverty among older women.” – United Nations

korea doesnt like sex games

I hardly doubt that the U.N will be able to implement these laws in Japan, because that would cause riots for sure…

First of all, let´s not forget that last year in October the UN had to fire four people from their own staff for sharing child pornography via mail (the very same people also used a UN vehicle to transport marijuana). And what about that one time when the UN invited Anita Sarkeesian and Zoé Quinn to speak about cyber violence? (this event took place in September last year). My point would be this, the UN is a bunch of hypocrites. I mean, they focus on stuff such as “cyber violence” and “sexual violence against women” in video games and cartoons. While they ignore (our pay very little notice to) the fact that REAL women and children are being raped, killed and sold as cattle in some parts of the Middle East and Africa.

Long story short. Doesn´t the UN have more important matters on their hands, than addressing sexual violence against women in Japanese video games and cartoons? You know, like ISIS, starvation in third-world countries and child prostitution? Nevertheless, I guess that it´s much easier for the UN to target none real human beings (video games and cartoon characters) than it is to do something about REAL world issues (you won’t help real-life women in need by making safe online spaces, and censoring video games and cartoons).

For example, how comes that the UN doesn´t bother with how Saudi Arabia ignores human rights? Or how they treat women in general? (Saudi Arabia is on the Human rights council…). Another thing, how comes that the UN doesn´t bother one bit about sexual violence against men in cartoons and video games? Or don´t they believe in equality? (yes, there are video games and cartoons that contain male on male rape scenes).

In my opinion, the UN has always been about political bullying and defamation. And I hardly doubt that they will come to their senses anytime soon, as for their plans to ban Japanese cartoons and video games that contain sexual violence against women. We will get more information on the matter on the 16th of February (that´s when the “Elimination of Discrimination against Women” UN Committee kicks-off in Japan). It´s hard to tell what the outcome will be at this time though, but I´m quite sure that Japan won´t kneel down to the UN´s demands.

jim sterling is full of shit

I would love to hear Sterling´s response to this one…

They’re not going to take your video games away from you

This is somewhat of an “off-topic” kind of matter, since it´s not directly related to the UN. However, all of this is connected to the very same topic. And that would be the never-ending battle with censorship in the video game industry, because let´s face it. Censorship has been on the rise for a very long time now. I mean, just take the matter of “GTA5 and Target in Australia“, “Hotline Miami 2 VS the Australian government“, “Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Vs SJWs” and “Capcom censors R-Mika´s butt-slap“.

And as you might remember, the French government did try to ban sexist video games earlier this year. However, thankfully enough for the French Gamers, the law got pulled. Even so, the censorship list has no end. And I know that I haven´t said all that much about  Jim Sterling (A game critic and Youtube persona) in the past, but I´m about to break that trend here and now.  Because Sterling is most definitely a part of the censorship plague that we´re experiencing, as his been trying to tune down how badly things really are (Sterling is a full-blown SJW, and he also supports censorship of things that he doesn´t approve of).

dead-or-alive-xtreme-3 booty

I bet that the UN will start to police digital (or cartoon) booty in the near future as well.

Just take some of Sterling´s past statements on censorship:

“Anita Sarkeesian is not Magneto. And when people say she needs to be stopped, I think that’s what people say about Magneto. She is not that. She does not have a Sisterhood of Evil Mutants. She ain’t gonna take your games away.” – SGC 2013, Jim Sterling

“Are they gonna take away your Dead or Alive massive tit-parade? Would that be a loss… even if they did? Which they won’t, because as long as a market exists, publishers won’t change shit.”

“Nobody is taking the games away. I still stand by that. A corporation made a corporate decision (and if you think a few bloggers influence those decisions, you’re an idiot) to not localize a game that probably doesn’t sell very well in this market, all because it apparently can’t handle the criticism it expects.

“That’s ALL on Tecmo Koei. They don’t want to be criticized, so they’re not bothering to bring a game out here. You wanna be mad at someone, be mad at a company not confident enough in its product to bring it out over here.

Or, y’know, look up some hentai or something. It’s a shame, though. I was looking forward to reviewing that.” Jim Sterling on Team Ninja´s decision not to release DOAX3 in the West

play asia vs sjw nonsense

Play-Asia set the Internet on fire with this tweet.

And we all know how that went. Play-Asia had to step in and take care of DOAX3 in the West (they´re selling the Japanese version of the game), and Anita Sarkeesian became a part of Twitter´s trust & safety council not so long ago (Feminist Frequency is close friends with the Twitter team). And Feminist Frequency has been pushing their SJW/feminist agenda into the games industry for years now. So Sterling is dead wrong about Anita and his “They’re not going to take your video games away from you” statement, because that´s exactly what´s going down right at this very moment. And don´t believe for a second that the UN will stop at “just” policing the Japanese games and cartoon market for “sexual violence against women” content (I´m somewhat curious to find out what that includes exactly? And where does the line go?).

No, the UN will probably move on to “other” things as well (digital and cartoon “nudity”, “skimpy cloths”, “violence” and “sex” will be their next target for sure). And since I´m from Sweden, I still remember that case where a Swedish Manga translator (Simon Lundström) got acquitted of child pornography charges back in 2012 (An important side note, the UN has targeted the representation of “children” in manga quite a few times in the past). In the matter of fact,“Dead or Alive Dimensions” got banned in Sweden due to the very same child porn laws that “almost” put Simon Lundström (the Swedish manga translator) in chains (Lundström got cleared from his child pornography charges in June, 2012).

The PAL version of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Blackwater is censored.

The year of censorship, anti-sex and freedom of speech

I would also like to point out that you shouldn´t fall for the localization excuse, because that´s just something which none-Western developers (and publishers) use as an excuse to censor their games (they do that in-order to please the loud minority, aka the feminists, SJWs and PCbros). Speaking of which, a Gamer called Evan Smith hit the nail on the head with his comment about DOAX3, censorship and Team Ninja last year:

“Well there you fucking go people. Straight from the horse’s mouth. One of my favorite Japanese game developers has declined to release a game to the west thanks to puritanical SJW’s lashing them endlessly over attractive females in bikinis being considered a whole range of negative buzzwords and thus, not suitable for a culture with its head to far up its own ass of political correctness.Evan Smith (Gamer), via Facebook

no sjws

The SJW movement is the 2100 century´s answer to the Witch trials in the early modern period (the 1500s).

Well, I don´t know about you, but 2016 seems to be the year of censorship, anti-sex and freedom of speech (feminists, SJWs, PCbros and governments are policing everything now). And I think that it´s rather scary to think about how close George Orwell´s book “1984”(the book was originally published back in 1949), is to today’s society. Not to mention the fact that the statements which Ice-T made at Oprah´s show in 1990, is much more relevant today, then it was in the early 90s (Ice-T spoke about freedom of speech, censorship and creative freedom). And that alone gives me the shivers.

So if you think that all of this is just about digital booty, sex and perverted games, then you better think again (you must see the big picture). Because like I said, once that has been dealt with. “Other” mediums and areas will be targeted as well. Sadly enough though, most people don’t realize this. Nevertheless, we (TGG) will do what we can to inform people about this matter. Especially since censorship has gone beyond the realms of Gaming now (censorship is a big part of Twitter, Facebook and Reddit to name a few). And due to the fact that I have no desire to live in a world that looks like Neel Kolhatkar´s video “Modern Educayshun“, I will do whatever it takes to stop this madness.

With that said, what do you think about the UN. and their statement about Japanese games and cartoons? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
