Press release:
Battlevoid: Sector Siege, the latest in Bugbyte‘s popular sci-fi series, has a release date set for October 25th. The new title, which has been built in a brand new engine, has been in the making for over a year and features seamless cross-platform game play between platforms.

The game expands on its predecessor, Battlevoid: Harbinger, with added features such as research trees, boarding of enemy units, area of effect damage, fog of war, and the ability to control more units. The game is set to cost $9.99 on PC and $4.99 on mobile, and will not feature in-app purchases, although a DLC add-on is possible in the future. A teaser trailer has been released showing some of the best action the game has to offer.

Battlevoid: Harbinger was the first commercial success for Bugbyte after 4 years of developing games, and saved the small indie studio from bankruptcy back in 2015. Bugbyte is pleased to be able to offer a new title into the series and bring a fresh experience to the fans of the Battlevoid series.

Quote from the developer:

“I think we stand out as a game development company, because we still believe in the premium monetization model, even on mobile. We offer cross-platform hard-core games for PC and mobile, and that is rare. It’s clear that there are a lot of players, who appreciate the possibility to pay once and then be able to play a game forever without restrictions.”Aksel Junkkila, CEO Bugbyte Ltd.

About Bugbyte:
Bugbyte is an independent game studio based in Turku, Finland. Founded in March 2012 by two brothers, the company inhabits a team of gamers with a passion for creating games. In addition to the 3 man team, the indie studio is lucky to have a group of amazing collaborators who help create awesome games. In the past, Bugbyte has primarily focused on charity games. Now, the indie studio wants to do something truly epic, something for the hardcore gamers. The old spirit lives on though, and the studio looks forward to helping charities in the future. Bugbyte has been through a lot in its 5 year life span, and was at risk to declare bankruptcy in 2015 when all finances were depleted and the only hope was the newest then upcoming title Battlevoid: Harbinger. In the end Battlevoid: Harbinger was to become the companys first commercial success, and the indie studio lived on to create more games for its fans. Bugbyte stands out by creating hard core premium games for both mobile and PC, supporting seamless cross-platform play with cloud saves. Bugbyte is one of the few companies left that still believe in the premium monetization model, even on mobile.
