Melbourne, July 6, 2020, Catchweight Studio announce the update of their demo of “Conscript“. The new version pays tribute classic titles Resident Evil and Silent Hill with the addition of an alternative ending and an easter egg to discover.
Conscript is a pixel-art survival horror game set in the trenches of WW1. With 10 days left in its Kickstarter campaign, Conscript is now over the 50% funding milestone.
The Conscript demo update is in itself a reference to the Resident Evil 7 demo. An alternative ending and an Easter egg in reference to Silent Hill are now hidden within the Verdun trench maze. The demo has a lifespan of about 40 minutes to reach the classic ending. This update offers replayability and greater difficulty in solving the new puzzles.
The free Conscript demo is available on Steam and Itch.io until July 16th; end date of the Conscript Kickstarter campaign.
With 10 days remaining, the Kickstarter campaign already has 450 backers and more than 50% of the funding. The rave reviews received particularly highlight the filiation between Conscript and the classic titles of the genre. The heavy atmosphere, the Save Theme, the puzzles as well as the management of the equipment are the most popular reference markers.
Following the exhaustion of the Early Bird Caporal’s pledge rank, the Conscript Kickstarter campaign now offers 15 different funding ranks. The most notable addition to the campaign is the fan-requested add-on “Trench Raider”.
This add-on is available for all pledge ranks and offers the digital artbook of the game and the opportunity to get backer’s initial graved on trenches in-game.
