Press release:
August 13th 2019, Liverpool, United Kingdom – Ripstone Games, in collaboration with Lab42 and World Snooker, today announced that ”
Snooker 19” will launch on the eShop for Nintendo Switch on August 23rd, priced at £29.99/$/€34.99. Snooker 19 is available for digital pre-order on the eShop now.

Developed by Leamington Spa based Lab42, Snooker 19 features 128 of the world’s top players including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, Mark Selby and Ding Junhui as they take to the table at iconic venues including The Crucible and Alexandra Palace in countries across the world including China, and Germany.

As the most in-depth simulation of snooker ever, players compete in every major tournament culminating with the World Championship in Sheffield, either in the robust single-player mode, local or online multiplayer options.

Snooker 19 features a full TV-style presentation, alongside evocative visual details of the players, arenas and equipment.

Player likenesses have been meticulously created using 3D facial scanning technology while the subtle yet detailed wood grain of the cues and tables is rendered impeccably.

With the glare of the spotlights reflecting accurately off the polished balls, Snooker 19 sets a new visual standard for the snooker video game. Players can soak up its atmosphere while the advanced physics and AI engines ensure the action remains tense, thrilling, and most importantly, true to real life.

“We’re excited to announce that Snooker 19 is coming to Nintendo Switch on August 23rd and is available to pre-order right now through the Nintendo eShop and at select UK retailers.” said Justin Forrest of Lab42, Game Director of Snooker 19.

“With access to all the pro players, arenas and official tournaments, it’s a dream to be bringing the most authentic snooker game to date to Nintendo Switch; a platform that myself and the team here at Lab42 absolutely love.”

“The Nintendo Switch version of Snooker 19 is the perfect mix of authenticity and convenience; bringing together an impeccable true to life snooker experience with the ability to play when or wherever you like.” said Hollie Pattison, PR & Marketing Manager at Ripstone.

“Officially licensed by World Snooker and featuring an array of play styles including an in-depth career mode, local multiplayer matches supporting two Joy-Con controllers and online tournaments; Snooker 19 is the perfect fit for Nintendo Switch.”

Snooker 19 is also available digitally on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store and Xbox One via the Xbox Store.
