Stoneshard: Prologue is a playable alpha of the upcoming turn-based RPG approaching the end of its Kickstarter campaign.
Press release:
Releasing a free demo of Stoneshard during the Kickstarter campaign proved to be a success for indie publisher HypeTrain Digital and developer Ink Stains Games. Since its Steam release on June 5th, Stoneshard: Prologue got more than 50000 downloads and gained ‘Very Positive’ user review summary. The release of Prologue has also increased a number of wishlist additions of the full game by more than 400%. This is a great start for Stoneshard, as we’re laying a solid foundation for future release of the full game with active engaged community of true roguelike fans.
Stoneshard is currently approaching the end of its successful Kickstarter campaign with 210% funded, 2400 backers and 7 days left to go. The initial funding goal of $30000 has been reached in the first week, and now the project is pursuing stretch goals that will allow developers to realise additional in-game content like extra classes, dungeons and enemy types.
Stoneshard is a turn-based roguelike RPG with procedurally-generated open world, an in-depth caravan management system and hardcore survival elements. Players will explore vast medieval kingdom of Aldor, recruit new allies to their own travelling caravan, create unique heroes with countless class/archetype/equipment combinations, decide the fate of a whole kingdom and die a lot, battling with physical diseases and taking care of mental health to fend off fear and insanity.
Some quotes from the media:
«Stoneshard has become a Kickstarter hit with no doubt» — TGG
«While the prologue is definitely skeletal, it’s also pretty darn promising» — PC Gamer
«Even in these early stages of development Stoneshard offers a well polished and addictive roguelike dungeon crawling experience» — Alpha Beta Gamer
Inspired by legendary classic games like Diablo and ADOM, Stoneshard blends old school gameplay with modern mechanics and accessible UI, so it’s fresh and fairly challenging for genre veterans, but also quite welcoming to the newcomers. Stoneshard will hit Steam Early Access in Late 2018, with PC & console release to follow in 2019.
