Press release:
TEL AVIV, Israel – 2 December 2021.
The Israel-based indie games developer and publisher Plarium Global Ltd (Plarium got over 400 million users worldwide at the time of the publication of this post) today announced with great excitement and delight that they have just launched the “Mechs Are Here” event for their 5 vs. 5 multiplayer shooter “Mech Arena” (the game is out right now for iOS and Android, and soon “Mech Arena” is coming to PC via Steam).

For a limited time, players are challenged to destroy mechs to raise money for the AbleGamers charity. All players will be able to help raise funds for charity and win in-game prizes, while players in the US will be eligible for exclusive Epic and Legendary Prize Packs – with more in-game rewards, limited-edition merch, and 10 invitations to the Mech Arena Championship on Dec 16 where they’ll face off against teams of world-famous content creators. The winning team gets the ultimate prize – the opportunity to pilot a real-life mech.

Mech Arena is a 5 vs. 5 multiplayer mobile shooter made for everybody. Available for free on iOS and Android, Mech Arena offers action-packed, skill-based competitive battles brought to life through rich, vibrant 3D graphics. Choose from dozens of Mechs, each with unique Abilities, then customize them to suit your playstyle with unlimited combinations of different Weapons, Skins, and Paint Jobs. Then, take the fight online – team up with friends, play solo, or take on the world in the global Arena across a variety of Maps and game modes.

You can help Mech Arena support the AbleGamers charity simply by playing Mech Arena and blowing up Mechs. For every 100 million Mechs destroyed worldwide, Mech Arena will donate $10,000 to AbleGamers – up to a massive $100,000.

You can also get a limited-edition Mechs Are Here in-game Mech Skin just by installing via these links to commemorate the event and show you were part of something great.

If you are a player in the US, you can win a chance to pilot a real Mech, along with a bunch of other limited-edition prizes. Just sign up for the Mechs Are Here event at mecharena.gg using your Mech Arena user ID.

US residents that register for the event can win:

One of 100 Epic Prize Packs – Exclusive in-game content including 50 Blueprints, 2 Prodigy Crates, and 100,000 Credits.
One of 10 Legendary Prize Packs – Early access to Mech Arena’s upcoming new Mech – Stalker – along with an exclusive Mech Arena Care Package shipped right to your door, featuring a personalized Mech Arena football jersey, an exclusive Mech figurine, an A-Coin, poster, art book, and an invite to the Mech Arena Championship on December 16.

Mech Arena Championship – The Grand Finale

10 Legendary Prize Pack winners will take part in the Mech Arena Championship on December 16. The chosen players will form two teams of 5 to face off against six teams of content creators, with the winning team claiming the ultimate prize: the chance to pilot a real-life mech! Designed and built by Exosapien Technologies, the Mech exo-suit gives players a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the thrill of piloting a real-life robot. The Mech Arena Championship will be live-streamed by 30 content creators, with the full schedule available at mecharena.gg.

Mechs Arrive in Los Angeles

Mechs Are Here, and Santa Monica Pier has the scars to show for it. A shredded billboard, a battle-scarred Mech, and the scattered remnants of a spectacular Mech battle and the fans that came to see it – Los Angeles locals can find all that and more from Dec 3 to Dec 5 at Santa Monica Pier.

Visit the site of Mech Arena’s inaugural event and pick up exclusive Mech Arena merchandise, as well as on-location access to a special AR filter to bring the Mech battle to life. For fans around the world, the AR filter will be available to everyone via mecharena.gg, allowing you to bring Mechs no matter where you are.

Players who visit Santa Monica Pier and share a photo of themselves at the event on Instagram and tag @MechArenaOfficial and #MechsAreHere will have the chance to win the ultimate mobile gaming setup worth $5,000.

Charity Partner – AbleGamers

Plarium is proud to support AbleGamers. AbleGamers’ mission is to enable play, combat social isolation, and improve the quality of life of people with disabilities.

For over a decade and a half, it has been working to craft a more accessible game industry, helping developers and publishers to better accommodate players with disabilities in their games and communities. AbleGamers knows that video games can be the perfect gateway to community participation, lifelong friendships, and unforgettable shared experiences — values that are a perfect match for Mech Arena.

Supporting AbleGamers in Mech Arena is easy – just play and destroy mechs! Between Dec 3 and 14, Plarium will donate $10,000 to AbleGamers for every 100 million mechs destroyed, up to a grand total of $100,000.

Mech Arena is now available for users around the globe. Download Mech Arena on the Apple App Store and Google Play using those links to get your limited-edition Mechs Are Here Skin, then sign up for the Mechs Are Here event either in-game or at mecharena.gg.
