Award-winning Brave Wave label begins partnership with SNK to restore and release classic NEOGEO soundtracks starting with ART OF FIGHTING.

Tokyo, Japan – November 2, 2017 – Brave Wave Productions is pleased to present ART OF FIGHTING The Definitive Soundtrack in limited edition CD and vinyl formats. The release is the latest entry in Brave Wave’s industry-recognized Generation Series, which has seen the releases of the soundtracks to Street Fighter II, Shovel Knight, and the Ninja Gaiden series. ART OF FIGHTING The Definitive Soundtrack marks the beginning of a new partnership with SNK to restore and release classic soundtracks from the SNK NEOGEO catalog, which will include the ART OF FIGHTING 2 and THE PATH OF THE WARRIOR: ART OF FIGHTING 3 soundtracks among others. As always, the collection will include artwork pulled from SNKs digital archives as well as feature interviews with the sound creators. ART OF FIGHTING The Definitive Soundtrack can be pre-ordered now with expected shipments to begin in December 2017:

Brave Wave is a music label based in Japan, dedicated to exploring the interplay between videogames, music and nostalgia. The dual-natured label produces and publishes music albums, both solo and compilations, as well as composes music for video games. It is run by Kuwait-based Mohammed Taher, with operating duties handled by Tokyo-based Alexander Aniel, plus special co-directing from Manami Matsumae and Keiji Yamagishi.

The label is known for bridging the gap between Western and Japanese creators, best evident in the videogame Shovel Knight (by Yacht Club Games) which Manami Matsumae was able to contribute music to, as well the mega-hit World 1-2 album, which hosted a wide array of composers from all over the world.
