The tribute album celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Castlevania release on the Sharp X68000 featuring rock, metal and jazz arrangements from various remix artists.

New York – October 15, 2018 – SindraVania Projects is excited to announce the full distribution of Castellum Sanguis LXVIII: A Castlevania X68000 Tribute Album ; the celebratory release saluting the 25th anniversary of the release of Castlevania (Akumajou Dracula) on the Sharp X68000.

The game’s release in 1993 has always been one of the more obscure in the Castlevania franchise, only gaining a modicum of notoriety when it was re-released in 2001 as Castlevania Chronicles for the Playstation. Now, 25 years later, Castlevania X68000 ’s soundtrack has received a loving homage in the form of a 14-track remix album featuring a multitude of artists from the Dwelling of Duels and Overclocked Remix communities including Snappleman, Sixto Sounds, Mega Beardo, Viking Guitar and more. “As my favorite franchise of video gaming, it has been a longtime dream of mine to help head an album that pays tribute to the lesser-known Castlevania soundtracks that video game music
fans either don’t know about or have never been covered by remixers or arrangers before,” comments album producer Brenna Wilkes.

“With awareness of the games getting a boost from the Netflix show and upcoming Requiem release, and with it being the 25th anniversary of the X68000 game, I figured now was the perfect time to introduce fans to Castlevania music that they might not have otherwise known about, while also providing unique new takes on some classic tunes.”
