The Spain-based indie/retro games publisher/developer Flynn’s Arcades and indie games developer Radin Games, today announced with great thrill and delight that their arcade action/puzzle game “Galacticon” is coming to PC (via Steam) and the Nintendo Switch (via the Nintendo Eshop) on May 22nd, 2022.
Galacticon is a video game with the look and feel of arcade cabinet games from the early 80’sin the style of Williams classics: “Defender” or “Joust”, with the gameplay of legendary “Jetpac”, and with touches of “puzzle” to increase bonus points and enter your score in the local high score table or even in worldwide high score table.
Humans are tiny creatures of an outer belt planet that thanks to their biomechanical monstrosities have invaded, exploited ans enslaved most species in the galaxy.

About Radin Games:
I grew up in the 80’s typing endless ZX Spectrum’s Basic listings from magazines of that time, and that’s when I fell in love with video games creation.
Then, in the 90s, I started creating my own games in the incredible Commodore Amiga with which I created my first “big” game in 1992: the adaptation of a famous Spanish dice game called “Kiriki”:
Already in this millennium, I’ve focused on a style that I love: Interactive Fiction, and after writing some minor works, in 2008 I published: El espíritu de la sidra, an interactive fiction adventure that won the prize for the best game in the “Premios Hispanos 2008”, competing with games written in Spanish from all around the world. The “Premios Hispanos” were the most important prizes of that kind of games in the spanish language.
Another of my great passions has always been arcade cabinet games, so in 2015, after 2 years of development as an indie solo developer I published the first version of “Eternum”.
After the good reception of that first version, in 2016 I started (together with the studio Flynns Arcades), an extended and much improved version of the game called: Eternum Ex and published on 2018 and becoming my first comercial game.
From 2019 till now I’ve been creating Galacticon, my new retro, arcade, and addictive 😉 video game. It will be published next 5/20/2022 on Steam and 5/22/2022 on Nintendo Switch.
About Flynn’s Arcade:
We love creating games and that is what we try to do everyday. Flynn’s Arcades is a company that develop its own games meanwhile we publish third party games.
The games we produce are smart, simple and elegantly designed. Our objective is to make people spend a good time with our products creating an enjoyable video game experience.
Everything began at the Autonomic University of Barcelona several years ago. Juan Peralta, Flynn’s Arcades CEO, was teaching at this university. Juan used to direct different final degree projects all related with video games. One day Felipe Lumbreras and me proposed to Xavier Alsina (one of our pupils) to develop a total different Augmented Reality mobile game to reinvent the concept of board games. This is how we began to look for collaborators and after a month, we were a group of developers and artists developing OUTSIDERS.
Outsiders is a DEMO of combination of board games like Warhhamer and video games like Xcom, all combined with Augmented Reality (AR). During this project Juan Peralta met Francisco Raya, one of the designers.
After the Outsiders DEMO was finished some people found new jobs like Juan Gonzalez and Luis Estanyol now working at FX Animation and others like Francisco and me decided to work in new projects.
This is how Flynn’s Arcades became truth and our last projects also. Now Francisco and me are trying to create new projects and an incredible experience for the users.
