The Poland-based indie games developer and games publisher HYPERSTRANGE and Chopin et al. are today very happy and pleased to announce that their trippy first-person cyberspace action-puzzler “EQI” is now available for free via Steam.
“EQI” is inspired by the haunting visions of Cyberspace in cinema classics such as TRON and Johnny Mnemonic, and wrapped in the pulsating sounds of original synthwave OST, EQI takes the player on a journey through over 20 twisted stages.
The digital world can be turned around its axis, as the player rushes to find the exit. The challenge comes from controlling not only your own movement, but also the world around you at the same time. Sometimes, the key to beating a level will be understanding its twisted perspective.
The full game will be available free of charge to all Steam users.
HYPERSTRANGE is an independent game development and publishing studio based in Warsaw, Poland, founded on the day of the 2015 Solar Eclipse. Its debut title – ELDERBORN – brought about a whole new level of brutal FPP melee combat in 2020.
Drawing inspiration from heavy metal, 90s pulp pop culture, and classic boomer shooters, the loud and proud studio strives to make everyone’s gaming life a little stranger.
