It’s easier said than done to find a good Gaming headset these days. Because It´s a damn jungle of headsets out there (on the internet). And for some odd reason. The reviews of Gaming headsets differ a lot from person to person, and site to site.
I have honestly never seen such a big variation in any other field before (video games, software, hardware and so on). Normally, something are either good, crap or epic. But when I started to look for a new Gaming headset I saw really blended emotions for pretty much ALL the Gaming headsets out there.
So I started to look on some video reviews instead (to get a better overview of the headsets). And i really feelt in love when I saw Razers Kraken 7.1 Gaming Headset.
Because it both looked really neat (the design and the cool green neon lights), and most people (Gamers) seemed to love the Kraken 7.1. So I bought it, and I have been using it for over a week now.
And I have to say that Kraken 7.1. Are way better than any of my previous headsets (Steelseries 5H V2 and QPAD QH-90 Pro Gaming Hi-Fi Headset to name a few). The only bad thing that I could mention about the Kraken 7.1. headset. Would be that it lacks a audio controller for some strange reason, and it´s not the most comfortable headset i ever used (i have modded mine though).
But on the whole, Kraken 7.1. are a pure winner in my eyes!
Pros:
+ Awesome design
+ Great Microphone sound
+ Top notch headphone audio sound
+ A very long usb cable
Cons:
– No audio controller on the headset (you have to use your OS volume controller for that)
– It costs 99 Euro + shipment (1,000 Swedish kr)
– Not very comfortable to wear
Verdict: 4/5
If you are a Gamer that want to have the best Gaming experience (audio and microphone wise) that can be bought with money. Then you don´t have to search any further for your epic Gaming headset. Cuz Razer Kraken 7.1 are what you need and want!
