Fans of Jak and Daxter have been asking for a “real” sequel to Jak 3 for over 11 years time now. Nevertheless, so far Naughty Dog haven´t picked up on the fan’s requests for Jak and Daxter 4. However, over the years there have been quite a few speculations, rumors and even leaked concept pictures of Jak 4. So in a way, Jak 4 is like the console version of Half-Life 3 (the eternal wait for a game that “might” never actually happen). Even so, there is still hope. As Naughty Dog haven´t killed off the Jak and Daxter IP. In fact, back in 2012 they (Mass Media Inc) released the Jak and Daxter collection for PS3 and PS Vita. And since 2012 Jak and Daxter have made guest appearances in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for example. And one cannot deny the fact that Jak and Daxter are a big part of Naughty Dog´s history and legacy either.
It doesn´t seem like Naughty Dog has forgotten about that though (their roots and what the Jak series has done for them). As Jak and Daxter got quite a lot of focus during Naughty Dog´s 30th anniversary last year. However. There haven´t been all that much indications on that Naughty Dog has any plans for a Jak 4, at least not any time soon. Sure, there were rumors that Naughty Dog would showcase Jak 4 at E3 this summer. Well, as we all know that never happened.
So I think it´s all up to the Jak and Daxter community to try to convince Naughty Dog to release Jak 4, or else it will never happen. Speaking of which, a Spanish Jak and Daxter fan (Adolfo Téllez) has created an online petition for Jak and Daxter 4:
“If you have also played and have enjoyed the fantastic Jak and Daxter series or want to hook up with one of the best PlayStation games, you must know that the developer of this game, Naughty Dog, thought of continue the series and make the fourth episode. For some reason they abandoned him and left with the desire to all fans of the series and the company, this petition is made to reach Naughty Dog the desire of fans to play the fourth episode of this saga that stopped halfway, if we collaborate we will get what we ask for.” – Adolfo Téllez

So what do you guys think? Will Naughty Dog listen to the fans? And what would you like to see in Jak and Daxter 4?
