Some of you might remember Lienzo´s old-school 2D single-player Metroidvania platformer “Hunter’s Legacy”? (the game is out now for PS4, Xbox One and PC). Well, guess what? Just the other day we (TGG) were contacted by Lienzo, and they presented their latest game to us. So, which game did Lienzo show us? Well, the game in question would be their upcoming 3D action-adventure “Mulaka” (the game is set for a PC-release sometime this year):
Since the early design stage in 2014, the Kickstarter and funding campaigns of 2015, and the beginning of production in 2016, Mulaka has come a long way and it’s finally time for us to unveil the very first gameplay trailer! The video is now live along with our Steam Greenlight campaign. Vote for Mulaka and help us get the game on Steam!” – Lienzo Mx
Right of the bat, I´m going to admit that I did not know about the Kickstarter campaign for “Mulaka” (sorry!). However, I did watch the very first gameplay trailer for the game just now (you can watch the trailer further down the page), and I like what I´ve seen from “Mulaka” so far. Furthermore, I find the plot and setting of the game to be very interesting as well:
“Dive into northern Mexico’s most breathtaking landscape to experience the true life of a Sukurúame. Mulaka is a 3D action-adventure game based on the Tarahumara indigenous culture that explores the lore of these legendary people!
The gods have witnessed foulness spreading throughout their creation, corrupting men and beast alike. They now delve deep within themselves debating whether or not it’s time to wipe this world clean and start over. It’s your duty to rally the demi-gods and gain their trust to save humanity! The Sukurúame is the shaman or warlock capable of interacting with the gods above, below and everywhere in between. He is also the most capable of facing mythical creatures like the gigantic Ganoko, the soul-eating Rusíwari or the fire-spitting Sipabuara.” – Lienzo Mx
So if you like the sound of that (and the “Mulaka” trailer) , then you should consider voting for “Mulaka” on Steam Greenlight with no doubt. On a personal level, I wish Lienzo the best of luck with “Mulaka”!
