It´s been quite a while since I heard anything about 8 Points upcoming plot-driven survival co-op game The Wild Eight (I wrote a preview for the pre-alpha version of the game back in May). Well, the silence was broken when Ivan Belousov (Producer at HypeTrain Digital) contacted me earlier today. You see. Belousov informed me that The Wild Eight now has a brand-new gameplay video, homepage and much more!:

After a successful Kickstarter back in May, The Wild Eight is almost ready to be released for Early Access on Steam. We have a bunch of news to share with you:

New gameplay video

We released a minute-and-a-half video that shows the latest development progress. Updated animals animation and new tiles are just a few of the changes. Take a look!

New The Wild Eight Art

Those’re some really awesome art skills right there.

The new art shows a tense moment of the survivors journey through the Alaskan wilderness. It doesn’t only stir emotions but offers some new game features as well. It& #39;s the first time we& #39;re showing the bow and arrow. Archery mechanics are currently in development and we are looking forward to
showing how it works!

Updated logo

Those are some really nice-looking logos indeed.

We also updated the logo. It’s close to the original but more friendly to use and also supports a horizontal version.

Brand new site

Our best art and sounds are now available all in one place. Thewildeight.com is not a one-page landing page like 90% of other game sites and we are really proud of it. The Wild Eight is an unforgiving co-op survival game set in a stunning procedurally generated low-poly world, full of mystery and danger such as this wild boar. People are going to explore, hunt and craft shoulder-to-shoulder with friends or random players online. Unless someone is brave enough to survive this nightmare on their own.

Funding for the game was secured through a successful Kickstarter campaign in May 2016. The game is coming on Steam this Fall with XBOX ONE and Playstation 4 versions coming in 2017.” – Ivan Belousov Producer at HypeTrain Digital

Awesome indeed, especially since The Wild Eight is set for a Steam release this Fall (the PS4 and Xbox One version will drop some time next year). Well. I don´t know about you, but I´m pretty excited for this game (I had tons of fun while I recorded the pre-alpha demo).
