***SPOILER WARNING!***
The Flash returns to the CW this Tuesday with a new speedster in Trajectory (Allison Paige), speeding her way into Central City. Fans will be excited to know that this brand-new speedster will be challenging Barry Allen, and will be testing his patience as she causes an uproar with the CCPD and Star Labs teams. We don’t know what the longevity of this particular character will be—if any so far, but it is the CW, and anything can happen.
As if that wasn’t enough to pick up where we left off we also learned from TV Line, that Eddie Thawne will be returning to the series in episode 2 titled: “Flash back.”
The synopsis for the episode states:
“After the shocking revelation that Zoom is Jay Garrick, Barry is more determined than ever to get back to Earth-2 to stop Zoom forever. Desperate to find a way to increase his speed, Barry decides to travel back in time and masquerade as his earlier self in order to get his arch-nemesis, Dr. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne, to teach him how to run faster. However, things don’t go as planned and Barry is stunned to face familiar foe Hartley Rathaway (guest star Andy Mientus), as well as old friend Eddie Thawne (guest star Rick Cosnett). Iris makes peace with her past in order to embrace her future.”
Iris will have her own adventure when we pick things up this Tuesday as well. When confronted by her new Editor in Chief to run a smear campaign against The Flash she refuses. However, after the frustration turns into flirtation. So, what will become the result? It sounds as if Iris is going to move on from Eddie and even the hypothetical ideals of her and Barry being married on Earth-2.
There are also the lingering question fans have for Jay Garrick being Zoom in the Mid-season finale. If he is Hunter Zolomon from Earth-1, or is a split from Jay Garrick as a result of Velocity-6. If so, will we then see The Flash Jay Garrick return? If Barry can master his speed and travel back in time yet again—we may see it happen sooner than we think. Give us your thoughts below or tweet what you think is going to happen this Tuesday.
