Press release:
Barcelona, Spain – September 14th 2022.
Selecta Play, the video game publishing arm of the audiovisual distributor SelectaVisión, has today announced that stunning hand-drawn 2D metroidvania “Aeterna Noctis” will see a physical release in both a Standard Edition and highly limited Caos Edition (Collector’s Edition) on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on November 4th in Europe.

Furthermore, the challenging action-platformer is set to hit the Nintendo Switch eShop on the same day.

The Caos Edition includes a Steelbook version of the game unique to each platform, a premium Collector’s Edition Artbook containing over 224 pages, two stained glass window postcards, three-disc original soundtrack and a Collector’s CD cover that includes an exclusive download code for The King of Darkness Digital Soundtrack together with all the musical sheets of the game, all encased in a Collector’s Edition box with a premium finish.

Aeterna Noctis is a demanding metroidvania that combines intense platform gameplay with enemies that will get the most out of each player. Explore, recover your power and help the king of darkness in an epic adventure only suitable for players who want a real challenge.

Aeterna Noctis arrives on Nintendo Switch bringing lots of new features. The dev team has worked hard on the port to ensure a high and stable frame rate throughout the entire game. Several accessibility options have been added so all players can enjoy the game from start to finish, its puzzles, boss fights, and platform sections.

In addition to new powers for the King of Darkness, new assistance mechanics and several improvements in the main character’s skills and gems have been included. For example, the Guardian Angel now recovers the health of all hearts. Puzzle solving is now much more accessible thanks to the Time Sapphire, a gem that keeps the character weightless when aiming with the arrows.

These technical and gameplay improvements make Aeterna Noctis a much more enjoyable Metroidvania experience, a game that Nintendo Switch players will be able to play on November the 4th by visiting the Nintendo eShop or purchasing a physical copy.
Its page on the Nintendo eShop will be opened on September the 15 th to add the game to your wishlist. In the meantime, take a look at its launch trailer.
