Press release:
Letchworth, United Kingdom, January 30th, 2019 – PQube is delighted to announce that it is celebrating its 10th anniversary and looks forward to its strongest line up ever this year.

Founded by CEO David Pain in 2009, PQube has grown significantly over the last 10 years to become a major global player in the videogames market with a string of successes across all major games platforms and hardware.

PQube’s success has been driven through a focus on building a great team with a passion for videogames, working with long term content partners to build successful franchises and through developing communities of loyal fans in key genres including fighting games, racing games, visual novels and retro gaming.

CEO David Pain says:
“I’m lucky to work with so many great people within PQube and across the various partners with whom we work – all of whom have played a major part in our success to date. It’s fitting that on our 10th anniversary we have the best line-up we’ve ever had and the strongest team to deliver it. I am genuinely excited about what is coming next for PQube.”

PQube’s highlights over the last 10 years include:

Establishing the BlazBlue fighting game IP in Europe and strengthening the success of the legendary Guilty Gear series through a long term relationship with Arc System Works.

Helping to grow and legitimise the pure visual novel genre among gamers with the success of Steins;Gate, as well as other notable releases in the genre from Root Letter and Chaos;Child.

Bringing cult games from Japan to the west including GalGun, Senran Kagura and Valkyrie Drive.

Recently moving into digital indie releases, PQube saw immediate success from cult classics like Korea’s White Day to indie mega-hits like Cat Quest.

Through a long-standing relation with Milestone, reinvigorating the MotoGP franchise in the UK, as well as establishing the RIDE and MXGP brands as the best selling, most respected bike racing franchises in gaming.

Further developing its hardware division, PQube recently secured the world-renowned Atari licensed brand, creating a range of retro hardware such as plug and play consoles and handhelds.

PQube’s continued and consistent success has been made possible through its world-class operations, marketing and PR team, built up with the right blend of passion, enthusiasm and experience.

With a track record of profitable growth, solid relationships with key developers, distributors, retailers and digital platforms PQube is growing rapidly but remains nimble and able to move quickly to take advantage of new opportunities in the exciting interactive sector.

PQube is looking forward to continued success in the years ahead and would like to thank all of its partners. From the retailers and distributors who continue to believe in our products and the work that we do – to the developers who work tirelessly to deliver truly unique experiences.
