Stay in and play with your pussy(cat) this Valentine’s Day! And it’s all thanks to the new iOS game, Purrfect Date.

London, UK, 12th February 2018 – Three facts about Valentine’s Day:
▪ It’s overpriced
▪ It’s understaffed
▪ And you’re gonna feel totally awkward the moment that guy on the adjacent table gets down on one knee.

The solution?

Staying in. It is the new going out, after all. But rather than amuse oneself with a badger, rabbit, or whatever else they’re affectionately calling it these days, might we suggest a band of fetching felines instead?

Purrfect Date is a new breed of mobile game – the ultimate crossbreed between visual novel, dating sim, and dark British comedy – and lands on the iOS store in time for Valentine’s Day. Created by Indie dev-duo, Bae Team, with publishing support from the BAFTA-winning Bossa Studios (Surgeon Simulator, I am Bread), you, a human, prepare to be whisked off to the seemingly idyllic Cat Island. There, you must date a string of a moggies, in an attempt to unravel a dark and sinister secret. Duh duh duhhhh!

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Undertale, Dream Daddy, and Hatoful Boyfriend, Purrfect Date is the personal ‘pet’ project of Bossa Studios’ Oliver Hindle, and his girlfriend, Ruby-Mae Roberts.

“Oliver and I were lazing around one day, itching to play a game, but nothing really grabbed our interest, so we started talking about what we’d do if we could make the ideal game for us. Cats, intrigue, dating sims, the TV show Lost… all of these things became the ingredients that went into making Purrfect Date. It’s an amalgamation of everything we love, and in essence, a love letter to each other (and cats).”Ruby-Mae Roberts – Co-founder, Bae Team.

Retailing at £4.99/$4.99/€5.49, it’s not only cheaper than a bunch of flowers, a box of chocolate, or one of the aforementioned rabbits, but also provides approximately 6-10 hours of entertainment (which is probably longer than any of those others, too).
