Press release:
Singapore, 8 December 2019 – The champions of Singtel’s PVP Corporate and Campus Leagues have been crowned. After months of intense competition and a thrilling grand finals held over the weekend at the inaugural Singapore Comic Con (SGCC), Team Realpage Esports from the Philippines and Team Teletubbies from Thailand emerged victorious in the Corporate League’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) and Dota 2 games respectively.

In addition, Team Unstable Network from the Singapore Institute of Management led their school to glory in the MLBB Campus League.

The PVP Corporate League champions collectively took home a prize pool of S$25,000, of which S$20,000 will be donated to charities of their choice. Meanwhile, Team Unstable Network walked away with cash and prizes worth S$5,000 and 15,000 Diamonds, a form of currency that is used to purchase items in-game, for their win in the PVP Campus League.

Realpage Esports’ captain Jonathan Grabol said,
“The whole PVP Corporate League experience has been a great one, and it’s even more amazing that we won the trophy – it’s a real treasure! Our competitors were a tough team to beat and at some point we didn’t think we would make it. We’re very lucky to have had the support from our company from the start of the tournament and are excited to share our win.”

Teletubbies’ captain Thanawin Faungfung said,
“It really means a lot that we’re able to take the trophy back home to Thailand! We didn’t have a lot of time to practise as a team so it was definitely a challenging and very close game. It’s awesome that we managed to pull through at the end – this is truly a great end to what was a fun and enjoyable competition.”

Unstable Network’s captain Aaron Tan said,
“We’re proud to be taking home the PVP Campus League cup tonight. It was hard to find time to train together but we were still confident of bringing home the champion trophy! We want to show our thanks to all the other teams for participating and making this journey tough for us over the last few months.

It’s been quite a roller coaster ride and we enjoyed this chance given to play at the Grand Final at Comic Con.” Mr Arthur Lang, CEO of Singtel’s International Group said;

“Congratulations to the winners! What an exciting run it has been in the lead up to the PVP Corporate and Campus League finals.

This PVP Esports @ Comic Con weekend has been an outstanding success and I sensed the energy and passion of the gaming community as we not only had the leagues but also creators and casters from the gaming ecosystem across Asia.

PVP Esports is now truly a regional brand name. We will continue to grow the ecosystem in Asia by working with our regional associates to support gamers and promote responsible and healthy gaming. A big thank you to the teams, fans and partners for being part of our journey.”

More than 1,500 players from the region competed in the PVP Corporate League, representing SMEs to Fortune 500s spanning industries such as finance, consulting, media, and hospitality, as well as government agencies. Over 450 Singapore tertiary students from universities, polytechnics, private institutions and Institutes of Technical Education participated in the PVP Campus League.

PVP Esports was the official esports presenter at this year’s SGCC, held from 7 to 8 December at Marina Bay Sands. The highly anticipated PVP Esports @ SGCC featured an exciting array of gaming activities and played host to international gaming personalities like cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao and two-time The International champion Dota 2 player Topson from OG.

Fans were also treated to engaging panel discussions on streaming and content creation with popular YouTubers like Viva La Dirt League, developer showcases and more.
