Press release:
4TH SEPTEMBER 2019 – Developer and musician, Craig Snape of one-man outfit Celestial Gold Studios has today revealed an early-2020 release date for his upcoming PC game, “Kung Fu Jesus” (the game is coming to Steam in early 2020).

The announcement comes alongside a brand-new trailer, which reveals the game’s unique and hallucinogenic aesthetic.

Snape, who has enjoyed critical acclaim and BBC airplay for music created under the longtime moniker of Kung Fu Jesus, has set out to tell the story of his fictional namesake, drawing inspiration from Japanese and Norse culture, as well as some of the most free-thinking minds of the 20th and 21st century, and his own experiences exploring the boundaries of consciousness.

Prepare to enter a madcap world of organised crime, alternate dimensions, and intense martial arts, in a genre-busting action-adventure like no other.

Kung Fu Jesus borrows from fighting games, action-adventures, action-RPGs and more, to create an intoxicating mixture of genres and gameplay styles.

One moment you’ll be fending off a katana-wielding mobster along high-tech city streets; the next you’ll be piloting alien vehicles across the surface of an otherworldly planet.

Travel from the neon-lit streets of a near-future city, to lush forests scattered with ancient temples, snow-capped mountains with electric skies, and celestial dreamscapes where nothing is as it seems.

Kung Fu Jesus is a dimension-hopping experience; a rich tapestry of theology, conspiracy, science-fiction and fantasy.

Celestial Gold Studio head, Craig Snape said:
“I started work on Kung Fu Jesus as a way to tell a story, a story about the strange happenings of the universe.”

“From the intense Shamanic world that was brought to us by Carlos Casteneda and his dealings with the Nagual Don Juan Matus, to the drug-induced meetings of entities beyond our comprehension from the likes of authors Daniel Pinchbeck and Terence McKenna.”

Kung Fu Jesus will be launching via Steam in early 2020, with pricing still to be confirmed.
