Press release:
SYDNEY – Feb. 1, 2023.
The Sydney-based (Australia) award-winning indie games developer and publisher Blowfish Studios, today announced with great delight and thrill that their world-building retro FPS game “Gunscape” (which is inspired by classic 90s FPS games), is now available for the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo Eshop for $14.99 USD/€ 11.99.

Join a talented collective of community architects empowered to create, develop, and challenge each other with their original visions of the ultimate deathmatch. Employ the tools of an expansive construction kit containing almost every block, biome, weapon, add-on, and adversary any boxy crusader could dream of.

Once an arena has been created, unleash all hell on precisely placed units of deadly droids, skillful soldiers, massive beasts, and even dinosaurs – yes, DINOSAURS. If meticulously positioning fine details like walls, weapons, and enemies isn’t on the agenda, enjoy everybody else’s creations and bask in the mayhem. Dive into an impressive collection of fan-created single-player maps, co-op campaigns, and hand-crafted multiplayer arenas.

“Gunscape takes the most memorable elements of FPS history, puts them into an intuitive creation tool kit, and hands them all over to gamers,” said Benjamin Lee, Blowfish Studios CEO.

“Designers of all skill levels can let their imaginations run wild, then upload their works directly to the game’s servers for the whole world to experience. The Nintendo community is particularly well-known for its inventive community creators, so we’re very excited to see what they dream up with our tools!”

Gunscape is available now on Nintendo Switch for $14.99 USD/€ 11.99 and was previously released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
