The US-based indie games publisher and game developer Dream Nerdy today announced with great excitement and delight that their lighthearted disc golf VR sim “Off The Chains: Disc Golf” is now available for Oculus Quest via AppLab.

Off The Chains: Disc Golf is a realistic disc golf (also known as frisbee golf) game, which drops players into a series of detailed and serene courses, to enjoy the art of the air disc, either alone or with friends.

Designed to be accurate to the sport but equally accessible for those new to the world of disc golf, Off The Chains invites players to throw on their headset and find themselves inside a relaxing world of tranquil scenery with a variety of biomes.

Featuring 117 baskets across 7 courses, each course offers its own unique challenges and environments. Players can take Off The Chains: Disc Golf at their own pace, whether they want to simply relax and work on their technique, or enjoy blistering competition against friends.

Players seeking to put their skills to the test can play against each other in both private and public lobby-based matchmaking, in an attempt to prove that they can carve the best air.

With realistic flight physics, each disc has its own set perks, with a 4-number rating system (speed, glide, turn & fade) that is easy to understand, but provides incredible depth. To truly master the course, players will need to learn the subtle art of picking the right disc for the situation.

Throughout the courses, players will earn Chain Link points which allow players to unlock new discs and customise their collection, in their goal to be the very best on the green.

About Dream Nerdy
Dream Nerdy is an independent game development studio founded in early 2020. We are dedicated to developing games that prioritise the gamer’s experience and immersion.

We started development of OTC:DG roughly two years ago for VR. At the time there were not any VR disc golf games and we knew we wanted to bring this experience to the world. There is something really magical about being fully immersed and lining up your shot like you do in real life sport. We continue to fine tune our physics implementation and aim to be the best Disc Golf game around with a captivating world, a fun progression system and multiplayer features.
