Today, the Les Sorinières-based (France) indie games publisher and developer SaltButter Games announced with great excitement and delight that their speed and physics platformer “Elemental Roll“, is coming to Kickstarter on April 16th, 2022 (“Elemental Roll” is currently in development for PC, and is planned to be released via Steam sometime in the future).

“Elemental Roll” is the first speed & physics based semi-open world game full of nostalgia. A love child between Super Monkey Ball and the series Super Mario 3D.

The main goal in “Elemental Roll” is to help Byle, the former King of Hell, reclaim his kingdom. Along the way, clear the human world of its corruption and discover new powers brought by familiar faces! Gather runes and use them to recover some of Byle’s lost capacities.

The Kickstarter campaign will help the developer fund the costs of production for Elemental Roll.

Based in France, the SaltButter Games team is composed of two people, the co-founders Anfray Lapeyre and Nicolas Gomez. Both passionate gamers, combined their love for their childhood games and their capabilities as developers and level designers to create the ultimate nostalgic game.

Ambitious, taking on a project where they had to overcome never before resolved issues when it comes to the use of a mechanic entirely based on physics. They break codes never broken before. Their utmost priority when developing Elemental Roll is twofold: first, they want to bring back the excitement and fun they had playing games like Super Monkey Ball, (3D Super Mario series, Sonic games) to their fellow millennials. Second, they want to introduce this special feeling to the younger generation.
