The Portland-based (the US) indie games developer Rose City Games are today very delighted and thrilled to announce that their tactical card battler “Floppy Knights”, is now available for PC (for Windows and MAC via Steam) and Xbox (Xbox Series X/S, and the Xbox One via the Microsoft store).

Set off on an adventure alongside Phoebe and Carlton, a talented 16-year-old computer whiz and her clever bionic-arm BFF, to win the Science Fair with her mighty Floppy Knights, the retro floppy disks turned into tangible projections. Win a large cash prize to kick start her tech career, and fulfill odd jobs around the neighborhood while becoming a hometown hero protecting townsfolk in need.

Enjoy the sweet taste of victory and embark on a whole new set of adventures filled with even more challenges. Explore the town, winning BigCoin at every mission to unlock new cards and friendly units at Phoebe’s workshop. Calculate moves around Cindercliffe with precision to avoid the lava threatening friendly units, travel through the foggy Whittlewood being extra careful of the dangers lying underneath the mist, and mine the depths of the Shimmer Caverns to defeat the foes hiding in the precious metals.

Each Floppy Knight presents an opportunity to change the tide of battle with the special cards generated as they join in the fight. Lead the crew in engaging turn-based battles with a powerful commander such as Captain Thistle, whose signature card increases speed for a turn, or Sparko, who can move through enemies. Mix and match Phoebe’s card inventions to create powerful decks filled with plants, monsters, and hooligans, employing each special card strategically to secure victory by making the most of their striking boosts and actions.

Enticing vibrant visuals and quirky characters created by Marlowe Dobbe (Dicey Dungeons) are brought to life to the sound of cheery tracks composed by Grahm Nesbitt (Garden Story, Goodbye Doggy) in a heartfelt coming-of-age story about discovering one’s true self and becoming a hero in the face of adversity.

Floppy Knights is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (via backwards compatibility), Xbox and PC Game Pass, and Steam for Windows and Mac users for USD $19.99. It supports English text with additional languages to come in future updates. The soundtrack is available for purchase for USD $7.99 and streaming via Bandcamp.
