The Montpellier -based (France) indie games publisher Plug In Digital and Mons-based (Belgium) indie games developer Fishing Cactus, today announced with great thrill and joy that their fast-paced arcade typing game “Outshine“, is now available for PC via Steam.

Nimble-fingered keyboard warriors must use their words to free protagonist Hue from a beautiful yet oppressive cyberworld filled with clever traps, meddlesome enemies, and formidable bosses. Input letters swiftly and accurately to accrue points, multipliers, and a place on the leaderboard. Type fast and triumph using only your keyboard – no mice necessary!

As players embark on a quest through 18 visually stunning levels to take down the dictatorial Shards, they’ll unlock increasingly potent special moves like the ability to discharge lightning bolts onto the battlefield. Scan each level carefully to find new words to type. Master the rhythm, then completely alter the experience with modifiers like auto-pilot, infinite abilities and mirror words.

Dare to learn new key layouts with Qwerty, Azerty, Qwertz, Dvorak, Colemak, BÉPO, and more, or practice typing in a new language. English, French, Italian, German and Spanish text localizations are currently supported, with many more slated to arrive in the near future.
