The Madrid-based (Spain) independent development studio Mad Cream Games today announced with great thrill and happiness that their art-themed interactive linear VN “Painting Werther“, is now available for PC via Steam, Humble Store, and Itch.io!

is coming to PC (Windows, Mac, and Linux) via digital stores (Steam, Humble Store, and Itch.io ) in Q1 2023. Future versions for Android and iOS are also planned.

Independent development studio Mad Cream Games is releasing Painting Werther on Steam(Windows, Mac, and Linux), Humble Store, and Itch.io today.

Painting Werther is a paintable novel adaptation of The Sorrows of Young Werther, written by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in 1774.

About Mad Cream Games

Mad Cream Games is a family studio in Spain experimenting with new game concepts.The development team is made of up to four family members:

Inés Burgos Pía, mother and Art Director. She has been working as a professional illustrator for more than thirty years and has been nominated as the best Spanish illustrator.

Nicolás Pastore Burgos, brother and Music Composer. Graduate in Video Game Development and currently studying Psychology, both at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He has been working for ten years as a percussionist and he is currently a member of the Orchestra of the Creative Music Schools Network of Madrid and of the band Corral de los Quietos.

Agustín Pastore Burgos, brother and Developer and Animator. Graduate in IT Engineering and Pedagogy, both at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Author of a children’s book.

Lucina Burgos, cousin and Official English Translator.

Their first title, Pink Gum, released back in 2020, was also an artistic project with hand-made pictures created in-house. The game was awarded with an honorable mention at the Independent Game Festival and it was nominated at the Indie Games Malaga in 2021.
