The Many Pieces of Mr.Coo is dropping on Sep 7th

The Madrid-based (Spain) indie games publisher Meridiem Games and solo developer Nacho Rodriguez, are today very happy and excited to announce that their fully animated 2D point-and-click adventure game “The Many Pieces of Mr.Coo”, is coming physically and digitally to PC and consoles (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch) on September 7th, 2023.

Developed by Nacho Rodriguez and supported by the PlayStation Talents Program, The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo transports players to an amazing world, beautifully created in hand-drawn 2D animation, combining hilarious puzzles with point & click adventure gameplay. Players must guide the protagonist Mr. Coo, who is trapped in a surreal, nonsensical world where quirky characters and crazy situations are hidden around every corner.

Meridiem Games will be responsible for the design, manufacture, and European distribution of the two special boxed editions. First up is a special boxed The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo – Fantabulous Edition for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, which will contain an exclusive Mr. Coo character keychain housed in an exclusively designed case with exclusive artwork for each platform.

If the Fantabulous Edition isn’t quite enough, then Meridiem Games has also created the beautiful special boxed Coollector Edition, which will not only include the Mr. Coo character keychain and exclusive artwork case for each platform but also adds a unique flipbook with two exclusive animated stories, a mystery watercolour by artist Nacho Rodriguez, a puzzle featuring the pieces of Mr. Coo, an artist’s book showcasing the creative process behind the art and finally a coloured 7” vinyl single with the music of the game composed by Julie Reier, all inside a spectacular collector’s box.

This edition will be numbered and limited to 1000 units for European territories.

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo will also release in digital format from Meridiem Games for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC, with Xbox following soon after. You can now add the game to your wishlist at PlayStation Store and Steam.

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo is a surreal point & click adventure game. Mr. Coo is trapped in a strange, nonsensical world, and he needs your help to get through it. But first of all, he needs to find all his pieces and put his body back together again! I’m sure there’s some philosophical struggle behind all this nonsense, but between giant chickens, crazy robots and one-eyed ladies, it’s a little hard to tell.

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo is an amazing and colourful 2D cartoon world, telling a surreal and whimsical story, full of absurd humour, quirky characters and crazy situations, as well as challenging players with innovative puzzles. Without a doubt, this is a new take on the adventure game genre that will appeal to veteran players and newcomers alike.

Mr. Coo and this game are creations of acclaimed artist Nacho Rodríguez. 2D animator and director nominated for the Goya Awards for his short film “A lifestory”. He was also the animation director of the game O.zen at Ubisoft. Mr. Coo is his most famous character, having appeared in several hilarious short films.

About Nacho Rodríguez
Working as 2D animator for over 20 years, Nacho has made short films for advertising, videogames and the internet. With experience as an animation director in companies like Ubisoft, he has also directed 8 official music videos as a freelance animator, collaborating with several renowned international illustrators. His wide range of works have been very successful with a Goya nomination and multiple international awards. In his own words about Mr. Coo:

“He had already been appearing years ago in the form of animated shorts and music videos, but in the form of a video game he could achieve more vital intensity, interactivity, putting the player in his skin… You would have to ask Mr Coo why did he so eagerly wanted to be born, but we know he doesn’t speak in words.”
