Press release:
The Spain-based indie games publisher SelectaPlay and  indie games developer Aeternum Game Studios, are today very happy and thrilled to announce that they are going to release the “Pit of the Damned” DLC for “Aeterna Noctis” to PC (Steam) and consoles (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch) on May 22nd, 2023.

The “Pit of the Damned” DLC adds dozens of hours of combat and exploration. The new trailer shows everything players can expect from this new downloadable content:

In a month, Steam, Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox players will be able to download the DLC completely free of charge. Among the new features that the “Pit of the Damned” brings, there are two new game areas that expand the gaming experience. Access to these new levels is completely organic, and both are integrated naturally with the other areas, being accessible from the first hours of the game

The DLC also introduces a new roster of enemies for the King of Darkness to face in order to uncover the secrets of the new areas, including new boss fights. One of the great successes of Aeterna Noctis is the possibility of customizing our playstyle by equipping ourselves with gems that extend and modify different attributes passively and actively. The “Pit of the Damned” expands the list of available gems by adding 6 new ones, some of them created at the request of the gaming community.

Another of the most important additions in this DLC are the timed trials with an interesting multiplayer and cross-platform function. From the offices of Aeternum Game Studios, they ensure that the timed trials allow players to compete against each other and highlight their name among world statistics. You will have to work hard to get the best score on each trial and enter the top 10!

The good news for the Aeterna Universe community does not end here. The development team has just confirmed that Summum Aeterna, the prequel to Aeterna Noctis, will hit all platforms simultaneously next September with its final version v1.0. The frenetic Roguelite starring his dark majesty is getting closer to ending its period in Early Access, and its creators are already pointing to September as the launch window for the title on PC and Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

But there is still more! Tomorrow, April 19, it is confirmed that the next major update for Summum Aeterna will arrive, a patch loaded with new content, highlighting the inclusion of a new seed influence, improvements in genetics and, as a great addition, a multiplayer ranking with a reward for the top 3 players. “Legacy of the Arcana” will be available tomorrow on Steam.

It seems that it is the perfect time to be a fan of the King of Darkness. On May 22, the new DLC for Aeterna Noctis will arrive free of charge and on all platforms, loaded with new content and dozens of hours of fun. And for September, everything indicates that players will be able to put themselves in the shoes of the cursed monarch in their adventure in Roguelite format with the multiplatform launch of Summum Aeterna. Remember that both titles have a demo on Steam.

2023 is going to be a great year for the Aeterna Universe and its community!
