Press release:
The Shanghai-based indie games publisher Gamera Games and indie games developer Lawsquare, today announced with great thrill and joy that their Lovecraftian 2D point & click adventure “Candlelight: Lament“, is now in development for PC (if you like what you’ve seen and heard of “Candlelight: Lament” so far, then you can add the game to your wishlist via Steam!).
The town is worried. Stories about eerie beings and horrible creatures are starting to spread among its citizens. After a series of mass disappearances happened in Tames City, you feel compelled to investigate what is actually going on.
Candlelight: Lament is set in a hand-drawn black-and-white world. You awaken in the Back World, an ancient, sinking civilization where you will have to explore your surroundings and use your wits to uncover the truth behind the mass disappearances. Control up to 4 different characters, interrogate people and carefully study objects to discover hidden secrets that will lead you to the truth.

Encouraged by the feedback, the studio decided to adapt the videos into a full-fledged video game and add more stories and characters into this Lovecraftian-inspired world.
