MONTREAL, CA.
The Montreal-based (Canada) indie games developer Hat Games are today very glad and thrilled to announce that their 2D party platformer “King Of The Hat“, is now available for PC (via Steam) and consoles (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch) via digital stores.

“King Of The Hat” will allow players to scoop up their favorite hat-wearing friend – from the relentlessly upbeat ‘Birthday’ to the greedy ‘Fat Cat’ – and challenge friends and strangers alike with online matchmaking spanning all of the game’s available platforms. Additionally, solo modes (Hat Golf anyone?) will be available for the game at release.

Canadian development studio Hat Games will support the game throughout and after launch, and has already organized various player tournaments and events throughout the game’s time in Early Access on Steam. In fact, the game’s been in the works for some time now, compounding the team’s excitement for release day. As put by Hat Games’ Ben Palevsky:

“King of the Hat has been in development for six years now. We are beyond excited to have it available worldwide- Hats off!”

The full version of King Of The Hat, including solo progression and additional game modes, will be available for purchase on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation for $19.99; alternatively, players may try the game’s online mode against friends for free by selecting the game’s ‘Friend Pass’ from store pages.
