The Cracow-based (Poland) indie games publisher Feardemic and Málaga-based (Spain) indie games developer Under the Bed Games, are today very proud and thrilled to announce that their folk horror 2D point-and-click adventure “Tales From Candleforth“, is coming to PC via Steam in Q1 2024.

Horror publisher Feardemic is keeping up their lightning-fast speed of snatching wonderful games to publish to the world, this time they literally pulled one from under the bed, or should we say Under The Bed Games, the developer of the folk horror game Tales of Candleforth. Don’t let that name make you think it’s dusty and musty because the game is crisp and beautifully hand-drawn and the only thing that will choke you here is its wonderfully creepy atmosphere.

With this announcement, we’ve also found out that Tales from Candleforth is set to come out in the 1st quarter of 2024 but we’ll let this superb new trailer do the talking for us! If you like what you see, don’t hesitate to add Tales to your Steam wishlist.

About the game:

Tales from Candleforth is a collection of fairy tales that were written on top of a forbidden book many years ago to hide its content. Years later, the dark text is bleeding out and onto the pages of the tales, mixing with them and twisting the stories.
The tale is about to begin…

In this first tale we’ll meet Sarah, a 16 year old girl that’s left alone to run the family apothecary. Sarah’s grandmother went missing a while ago, but one day, she finds clues that she might still be alive. As Sarah discovers new powers that only the women in her family can inherit, she adventures into a world of occultism, mystery and horror to uncover the secrets her family is hiding and discover the part she plays in all of it.

Go along with Sarah on this trip through madness and unravel the mysteries hiding behind the surface of Candleforth. Solve challenging puzzles and interact with a mysterious world to reveal the darkness of this twisted tale.
